A Late Ramadhan Wish

Hello! Life has been very very difficult lately and I just didn't have enough time to really sit in front of my laptop going online, listening to music, reading e-books, playing games etc.

It's the third day of Ramadhan so Happy Ramadhan everyone! May this holy month benefit us much. I remember the time when I was surrounded with lots of familiar faces during Ramadhan, especially when we sahur and buka puasa together. I know and I'm more than sure I won't ever get such sweet moments again.

Okay, enough with the melancholy. So, how's your fasting so far? Succeed or fail? I'm glad I can fast though I'm extra busy and never having the chance to take sahur before the dawn prayer. I ate during midnight, usually before my bedtime and just considered that as my sahur.

Things are not going right between me and him, and I'm just sick with whatever he does or says. I can't stand him anymore and I never believe in living under a man's supervision, specifically if the man is him. Frankly, I never intend to fix anything in our relationship, just let things come and go. I'm falling out of love I guess.

Enough with my rambling. Happy Ramadhan again and enjoy your days during this month!

Hi guys, I'm back!!! Whoaa! Can't believe myself that I've abandoned this 7-month old blog for two months. Anyone missed me when I wasn't around? I bet no one. :p

The truth is; I was busy with life and business! I've started a small corp. with a male friend under Mummy's 100% supervision and fund. She wants me to begin looking after myself and she believes that business can help me growing up and appreciating what I have more.

Looks like Nuffnang and Google Ads are not a priority anymore, so does blog. *sigh* I want to tell you guys many things which I've experienced for the first half of 2010. Lots of good things happened and I'm very grateful to God for giving me a chance to taste the bittersweet of life.

Hello!

I've been away for weeks and just got a chance to go online. My Google Adsense application has been approved, Ezany was the person who suggested this kind of ads to me.

With humble confession, I have zero idea on how to place the ads code, it's not as easy as placing Nuffnang codes. I badly need helps from anyone who is using Adsense for his/her site. Currently I let all the ads operate by themselves, I wanna know how to put the codes correctly on top and between contents. Help!!!

This newspaper article really caught my attention. The headline says "Single mums told to pick up skills for family's sake".

I think I'm lucky for having Mummy by my side. When her husband left her, she didn't seek helps from people, not even her parents or siblings. Mummy worked so hard just to ensure that she could provide everything for me. Thanks Mummy! For single mums out there, don't refuse to take any helps from the government if you have no one to lean on.

We must be tolerant to differences

I REFER to the letter “Gay lifestyle not welcome in our society” (The Star, March 22).

I agree with the writer that updating the law for gay rights is definitely not in the picture for this country. We all must respect that.

However I do not share his or her sentiment of calling it a perverse lifestyle. It is the writer’s right to perceive it as such but it is also a person’s choice to lead the life that he or she has chosen. Not all gays are flamboyant and perverted and not all straight people are sane and morally right too.

What it boils down to here is tolerance to differences.

Exams not the only criterion

IT IS truly heart-warming to read “Help for weaker SPM students” (The Star, March 20).

I congratulate the Education Ministry, especially Deputy Prime Minister Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin, for formulating plans to assist the underperforming students.

Many a time, I have categorically emphasised my opinion that examinations are just one way of assessing a student.

Failing in examinations or getting poor or low grades doesn’t mean that the student has failed in his life.

The bulk of students today fall into this category i.e. failed their examinations or achieved low grades in examination.

First of all, classifying them as weak students is an unfair assessment. They may be weak academically, but may have bright minds to do business or bright hands to do craftwork, or skills like motor mechanics.

We should not always think about the so called “bright” students only, but rather have programmes and plans to help the other students to be successful in life.

Teachers okay with sex education now

SEREMBAN: In an about-turn, teachers are now prepared to teach sex education in schools — but educationists want proper training first.

This was a drastic change from a stand taken on March 2 when the National Union of the Teaching Profession was against such an education.

NUTP had then said that teachers lacked formal training “in the complexity and sensitivity of the subject and were not confident to teach it”.

Its secretary-general Lok Yim Pheng said the new decision was reached at a recent three-day delegates conference held here.

She added that teachers believed sex education should begin at early secondary education; and the educationists should be given comprehensive training first. “The ministry needs to come up with proper modules and programmes to allow us to impart this to students effectively,” she said.

Lok added that teachers were concerned that they would become open targets for litigation from parents if they made mistakes when imparting such knowledge to students.

Many quarters, including parents, had urged the authorities to introduce sex education.

Children of mixed marriages do face problems

I WOULD like to refer to the letter ‘A mistake to frown upon mixed marriages ‘’ (The Star, March, 9.)

I can’t agree with the writer in using Tiger Woods, Halle Barry and Barack Obama for comparison, stating that their success comes from a product of mixed marriages.

Please don’t forget that the three persons come from the strongest country in the world.

That said, I would like to congratulate Datuk Nicol David, one of our most successful sportswomen in the world who is of mixed parentage as well.

The writer said he couldn’t agree with Datuk Seri Rais Yatim that children from mixed marriages face unique problems. He said it was a myth. How would he know if he is not a product of a mixed marriage himself?

It's so boring today. I woke up very early and suddenly I got an SMS from a classmate informing that there's no class today, the lecturer has gone out for a seminar. I got nothing to do now and I don't really have ideas to update this lovely blog of mine.

2 more days to go before I go and watch Alice in Wonderland. Hopefully I'm not busy when the day comes. Some friends will tag along, all are females. I guess you can expect the reason of us choosing to watch the movie. Because we love Anne Hathaway, ya right...

Hello readers, good morning.

I was busy for the last few days since a friend needed helps with his assignments. I've unintentionally skipped today's morning class with one reason: overslept. And now I am really tired and I know I need more sleep but I am so not used to sleeping back after waking up in the morning.

Apart from doing assignments, we both and couples of coursemates went to watch a movie last night, A Book of Eli. Farah insisted on watching it because she likes Denzel Washington, but I don't really like the movie. I think I was deceived.

WOW! That's the only word that I could think of upon seeing my Nuffnang account just now. I got my third buffered. I'm happy because last week, Nuffnang gave me 2 buffered and I got one more yesterday. Thanks a lot to Nuffnang and Maxis.

Honestly, I'm worried sick over things that happened around me.

It's very rare and uncommon nowadays to read, hear or see good events in newspaper, radio and on TV. Crime cases, sad news and negative issues are mostly reported in media recently. What's wrong with modern people? There's no morality at all.

The latest news about the deceased 3-year old little girl really makes me tremble and upset. May God bless her and I badly want the killer to be dead!

Are Young Girls an Easy Target?

8yr-old girl molested, forced to perform oral sex?

KUALA LUMPUR: An unemployed man pleaded not guilty to molesting an eight-year-old girl and forcing her to perform oral sex on him.

Jamil Samad, 42, is alleged to have used criminal force on the Year Two pupil and rubbing his private parts against her buttocks.

If convicted, he can be jailed up to 10 years, fined or whipped or face any two of such punishments under Section 354 of the Penal Code.

He is also accused of putting his private parts into the girl’s mouth against her will.

If found guilty, he can be jailed up to 20 years and whipped under Section 377C of the Penal Code.

Jamil is said to have committed both offences at the staircase area at PPR Cochrane Perkasa in Jalan Nakhoda Yusuf, Cheras at 4.30pm on May 12 last year.

The girl’s 41-year-old mother had lodged a complaint over the incident later.

Upon hearing his charges Monday, Jamil, clad in striking red-checkered shirt and blue jeans, calmly said he wanted to claim trial.

Deputy Public Prosecutor Nurfaida Mohd Rashidee said the prosecution has no intention to offer bail to the accused.

“If the court intends to use its discretion, the prosecution offers bail of RM15,000 in one surety,” she applied Monday.

DPP Nurfaida said the prosecution also pressed for the court to impose an additional bail condition that the accused should not disturb their witnesses as they were staying near the same area.

Upon queried by Sessions Court judge Mohamad Sekeri Mamat, Jamil said he had nothing to say over his bail application.

The judge then allowed a bail of RM15,000 in one surety and ordered him not to disturb the victim.

“If there is any complaint that you have disturbed the victim, then your bail will be revoked,” warned the judge.

He set April 5 for mention to allow the accused to appoint a lawyer.

Jom Heboh Carnival

Hello reader, visitors and strangers!

How's your weekend? Hope all of you got something in mind. I'm planning to just stay at home since I already went out yesterday for the whole day with a bunch of crazy friends. Heee...

For the first time in my life, I went to Jom Heboh! It's held at Bukit Jalil for 2 days, until today.Our main plan was actually to catch a movie at OU but since one of my friends bought tickets for late afternoon screening, so we decided to do something else.

Cindy was the one who came up with the idea of going to Jom Heboh. We finally agreed, though we had no idea what we could do there. Frankly, it was fun! Farah tried her luck as a newscaster since there was an audition at Buletin Utama booth. She did okay I guess, but a bit clumsy. =p

For those of you out there who live in KL or Selangor, you can come to Jom Heboh event if you have nothing to do for this whole Sunday. I bought many things, mostly food. Heee... If you like Malaysian stars, you can meet them there also.
